Rhys Angelini is a Scottish artist based just outside Glasgow, creating original paintings and fine art giclée prints inspired by the timeless traditions of classical painting and interpreted through a contemporary eye.
His work explores the beauty of everyday subjects, from still life and food to landscapes, flowers and familiar objects. The Artist
Rhys's interest in painting developed from a fascination with the techniques and visual language of the old masters. Their attention to light, texture, composition and detail continues to influence his work, while his choice of subjects often reflects the world around us.
Rather than simply reproducing traditional styles, Rhys aims to give familiar subjects a fresh contemporary character. A piece of fruit, a flower, a landscape or an everyday object can become the focus of a painting when considered through the right combination of light, colour and composition.

Selected original paintings are available framed and are supplied with a certificate of authenticity, providing collectors with a unique piece of artwork directly from the artist.
